Facebook Feature Request: Batch Delete App Invites

Have you ever felt overwhelmed by invitations from friends on Facebook asking you to try new apps?

Especially if you’ve got a huge friends list, you might be plagued by that problem, as is my pal Andy Wibbels, who says:

I have over ninety invites from friends to add little widgets and thingies to my profile. I really don’t want to junk it all up. But I have to click each one separately. That sucks.

He’s got a solution though: Facebook should make it so you can batch delete the app invites. I think that’s pretty smart and definitely would be a value adding feature. What do you think–could anyone else use this as a new feature?

The Growing Social Search Platform Mahalo

mahalograph.png
ReadWriteWeb is reporting that Social Search Platform Company Mahalo is growing. This news comes as no suprise to me. First off Mahalo will do what Wikia can not do. If you aren’t familiar Wikia is Jimmy Wales, the founder of Wikipedia’s search engine platform which is also social in that users, and potentially companies, and businesses have influence over how search results get served up. Consider this search engine democracy.

I think the vast resources that Mahalo has backing it, plus the huge head start will allow Mahalo to be a bigger player in Social Search than Wikia ever could be. Also I dont see Wikia utilizing bloggers and the blogging community to reach out to the greater evangelising audience which is something that Mahalo has been really good at.

It will be interesting to see both of them grow regardless.
